Home groups
Kairos runs midweek home groups designed to help us keep growing as disciples of Christ. They combine Bible study with a sense of belonging and mutual support. As friends we can help each other be effective witnesses, face life's choices, cope when life gets tough, and enjoy it with God when life is great.
The groups meet fortnightly People take it in turns to lead sessions - the group leaders facilitate the group experience rather than doing everything. Each group has a study programme: a Bible book, key themes of Christian living today, or a second look at the Sunday talks.
Our groups are designed to be welcoming and fun, non-threatening and practical. We want to help one another connect living faith with every aspect of life, so workplace issues are built into the agenda. We want our groups to be real: discovering the strengthening presence of God and the remarkable relevance of the Bible in every aspect of life.
Other groups
There are other kinds of small groups vital to the life of Kairos. We have three different worship bands, and each meets together from time to time for practice and to share fellowship.
There’s also Expression, our dance group, which performs in different
settings from time to time.
Recently a men’s curry group has been sampling the local restaurant fare – and they have been enjoying themselves so much, the women are threatening to start a curry group of their own!
