Kairos staff...

Carolyn Skinner

I'm Carolyn and I've been employed by Kairos Church since June 2001, when I started as Projects Director. I'm now the Team Leader, responsible for building the vision of the church and facilitating the leadership team to put it into practice effectively and efficiently.

My responsibilities are wide and varied but include overseeing the leadership team, coordinating the teaching programme and evangelism, overseeing the youth work and pastoral care, and networking with other churches and community groups. I do quite a lot of the preaching on a Sunday.

Naomi Panter

Hiya, I'm Naomi (or Nome), and my heart is for Kairos's outreach to the local youth and community. I am originally from Farnborough in Hampshire but in Jan 2002 I joined Youth For Christ's Apprenticeship Scheme, and YFC assigned me to Kairos! Fantastic! I have now been here for over a little while and have thoroughly enjoyed myself. I also organise 'Soul in the City WImbledon' each year, and always need volunteers!!

Ian & Jean

We were married in 1966: The World Cup and marriage in the same year!

Church has always been important to us. We wanted to be part of a church that is turning the world upside down. Now that we are through our immediate family responsibilities, we have the chance to do something different.

For us, Kairos presents a God who is interested in what’s going on outside the four walls of a church building and a God who is interested in body, soul and spirit. It attempts to make Christianity relevant to our community

We have found support and encouragement, and the opportunity to use our gifts and experiences. This is a place to think through what is happening in the world today.

Kairos at work

While we are all too aware of the dangers in our modern world of deriving our sense of self-worth from the positions we hold at work, we nevertheless thought it helpful to those investigating this website to give a flavour of the kind of people who attend Kairos regularly.

We have teachers, a nurse, a solicitor, an optician, a health visitor, homemakers, administrators, a TV director, civil servants, a website manager, charity staff, massage therapists, a youth prison officer, a TV editor, and people looking for work!
